GOALS AND DEMANDS OF THE INTERMARIUM INSTITUTE

The primary objective of the Institute is to strengthen economic, scientific, cultural, political, and infrastructural cooperation in the Central and Eastern European region.

Our aspirations include:

  1. Strategic partnership with the United States.
  2. Establishment of permanent Intermarium structures, including a Secretariat as a standing body for project coordination and lobbying, as well as joint representation of the Three Seas Initiative countries in the European Union and the United States.
  3. Development of transport infrastructure: expansion of road connections (Via Carpatia), railway networks (Rail Baltica), maritime integration (cooperation between seaports in Gdańsk, Klaipėda, Rijeka, Constanța, and Thessaloniki), air transport (Central Communication Port), development of intermodal logistics hubs such as Małaszewicze.
  4. Cooperation in energy sector: enhancing energy security through projects like gas pipelines and the diversification of energy sources, creation of a common energy market: harmonization of energy regulations to facilitate energy trade in the region, development of nuclear energy.
  5. Digitalization: expansion of telecommunications infrastructure, including 5G networks and joint digital projects.
  6. Increased funding for the Intermarium project and engagement of investors in this region of Europe.
  7. Incentives for the private sector: tax reliefs and government guarantees for companies investing in projects that foster Intermarium cooperation.
  8. Expansion of the Initiative to include Scandinavian countries—Sweden, Norway, and Finland and cooperation with other regional countries, e.g. Turkey.
  9. Building the Intermarium brand: promotion, information and educational campaigns, and joint cultural initiatives.
  10. Business Forum: an annual meeting of entrepreneurs from the region to connect companies and promote joint investments.
  11. Student exchange programs fostering a sense of community among the younger generation.
