PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD

Aleksandra Jankowska

Appointed Acting President of the Board of the Intermarium Institute as of July 1, 2024. Chair of the Program Council and Founder of the Intermarium Institute Foundation.
Holds a Master’s degree in Enterprise Management from the Maritime University. An experienced manager with a long-standing track record in companies engaged in intensive international cooperation. Former Vice President of LOTOS Oil sp. z o.o., Vice President of Energa Kogeneracja sp. z o.o., Chair of the Supervisory Board of Port Gdańsk Eksploatacja sp. z o.o., President of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, Vice President of the Social Rating Agency (ESG), President of the Foundation for the Development of Polish Regatta Sailing, Deputy Voivode of the Pomeranian Region, and long-term City Councillor of Sopot.
Previously served as Director of the Stefczyk Institute, which conducted scientific research in the field of financial and insurance cooperatives.
Completed postgraduate studies in EU Funds at the University of Gdańsk and Agriculture at the Higher School of Agribusiness in Łomża.
Her areas of interest include geopolitics, logistics, international cooperation, the Three Seas Initiative, and Arabic studies.

THE PROGRAMME BOARD

Professor Piotr Grochmalski

Professor (Full Professor, PhD, DSc) at the War Studies University (Akademia Sztuki Wojennej) and Piotrków Academy. Expert in international security analysis, geopolitics, and geostrategy. Founder and first Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies at the War Studies University, as well as Founder and Head of the Strategic-Military Affairs Team of the Russian Federation within the Center for Security Studies at the same institution.
He is a renowned analyst and expert in civil-military strategy, having educated senior civil and military leadership in Poland in this domain.
He established and led an analytical and forecasting team that developed its own methodology for strategic foresight research. On behalf of institutions including the Ministry of National Defence and the Parliamentary Defence Committee, his team prepared key reports such as „Poland’s Sovereignty and National Interest: 2025 Scenarios” and its expanded international edition, „National Security Forecast: Polish Perspective”. Originator of the geopolitical concept of Central Afro-Eurasia, co-developer of the concept of AI geopolitics, and architect of a new security paradigm that explores the correlation between the development of Artificial Intelligence and human security. For over two decades, his analyses have consistently pointed to the threat of Russian aggression against Ukraine and the predicted geopolitical rise of Poland. He accurately forecasted the outbreak of full-scale war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, emphasizing that it would not result in a quick Russian victory. Editor-in-Chief of „Bellona Quarterly”, the oldest Central European journal focused on security issues, published continuously since 1918.

Professor Grzegorz Górski

Legal scholar, university lecturer, Doctor habilitatus of legal sciences. In the 1980s, he was an active member of the anti-communist opposition, involved in the Independent Students' Association (NZS) and the Christian-Democratic Club.
Author of numerous academic publications on public administration, political systems, and legal and political doctrines.
Former Judge of the State Tribunal of the Republic of Poland. Currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Jagiellonian Academy in Toruń.

Dr Adam Chmielecki

Holds a PhD in social sciences in the field of political science and public administration. Journalist and publicist. Author and co-author of academic and popular science books.
His research and public engagement focus on the contemporary history of Poland and Central Europe, the history of the anti-communist movement - including the „Solidarity” Independent Self-Governing Trade Union (NSZZ „Solidarność”) - Catholic social teaching, political systems, and the political and cultural traditions of Central and Eastern Europe.
He is the co-author of biographies of Maciej Płażyński and President of the Republic of Poland Lech Kaczyński.

Attorney-at-Law Łukasz Malinowski

Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk (2004). Completed legal training and passed the bar exam in 2010, the same year he was admitted to the bar as a legal advisor.
He also completed postgraduate Executive MBA studies organized by the Gdańsk Foundation for Management Education in cooperation with the University of Gdańsk and Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management, earning the title of Executive Master of Business Administration.
In his legal practice, he specializes primarily in commercial company law, business advisory services, civil, financial, and administrative law, as well as legal matters related to the energy sector and the maritime economy. He provides legal services to business entities, including consulting in the broad field of corporate governance.
He has extensive professional experience, including over seven years in executive and managerial positions, as well as serving on management and supervisory boards of companies. This includes roles such as President of the Management Board of the Port of Gdańsk Authority S.A. (ZMPG S.A.), positions within the Energa Group, and the Unipetrol Group. During his tenure, the Port achieved record-breaking cargo handling and financial results—records which remain unsurpassed to this day.
He is fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Attorney-at-Law Danuta Białooka-Kostenecka

Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk. She specializes in civil law, company law, labor law, and European law. She completed her legal training at the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisors in Gdańsk.
Holds an MBA degree and has completed postgraduate studies in foreign trade and auditing.
She has extensive professional experience in managerial positions across both public administration and the private sector. She was responsible for managing European Union funds for the Pomeranian Voivodeship and served as Deputy Director of the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park, where she oversaw innovation and technology transfer.
She continued her career as Director of Corporate Affairs in leading Pomeranian companies operating in business support services, the shipbuilding industry, and the energy sector.
She is actively involved in community service and served as a member of the Gdynia City Council in the previous term.
