THE INTERMARIUM INSTITUTE WAS A PARTNER OF THE PHALS 2026 CONFERENCE

On March 15th–17th, 2026, the Intermarium Institute took part in the Polish-Hungarian-American Leadership Summit (PHALS 2026) conference in Krakow as an official partner of the event. The conference was devoted to deepening strategic cooperation between Poland, Hungary and the United States.

During the opening gala, Dr. Józef Orzeł, Chairman of the Council of the Intermarium Institute, received the prestigious Polonia Recordatur award  for outstanding merits in promoting the idea of the Intermarium and strengthening cooperation between the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and transatlantic partners.

As part of the substantive program, Professor Andrzej Zybertowicz appeared on a panel on the role of AI in Geopolitics and security. While Ms. Aleksandra Jankowska Chairman of the Intermarium Institute, took part in an economic panel. In the discussion on „Protectionism or globalization?” she drew attention to the need for urgent deregulation, especially for the sector of small and medium-sized companies operating in the defence industry. She also emphasized the negative effects of excessive fiscalism and the problems generated by the KSEF system for the competitiveness of Polish business.

The PHALS 2026 conference turned out to be a very successful and a very good opportunity for strengthening contacts and building lasting business, expert and political relations between Poland, Hungary and the United States.
